The Brigit App is one of many cash advance apps on the market. Just like many others, it promises the opportunity to get approved for an instant cash advance “in minutes” without hidden fees or a credit check. If you are hard up and desperate for funds, getting a no-strings cash advance with no credit check is just what you need to save the day. Unfortunately, offers like this are typically too good to be true and will lure you in and waste your time. But, what if it’s not?

Could Brigit be a legitimate cash advance app? Does it have hidden fees or strings attached? Is it even worth downloading? Keep reading for Mommy Need’s Advice’s honest 2024 review on the Brigit cash advance app.

What Is Brigit?

Brigit is a banking app that monitors your bank account and offers a cash advance on your upcoming paycheck. According to their website, the app claims to have the following mission:

“We define our success by yours. With transparent, fair, and simple tools, we help you avoid overdrafts, access cash when you need it1, build credit, spend wisely, avoid unfair fees, and start saving more. We don’t just reduce stress — we promote sustainable financial health.”

How Does The App Work?

When you download Brigit, you link it to your bank account. Then, it will verify your income to get the details on how much and how often you get paid. The app will decide if it thinks you can handle getting a cash advance and paying it back based on your paycheck schedule. Keep in mind, this app will also send you text messages and emails warning you when your bank is low on funds (which can get really annoying).

Note: You have to pay for a Plus or Premium account to utilize the cash advance that Brigit offers.

Can You Login To Brigit Without The App?

Unlike Dave, Brigit does not require you to have the app to login to your account. You can visit the site by clicking here and logging into your account that way.

Brigit Cash Advance App Review

So, does Mommy Needs Advice recommend the Brigit cash advance app? Technically, the app is not a scam. It is very much a legit app that will give you a cash advance without a credit check. Unfortunately, while the app does offer cash advances – and you can sign up and apply for the advance for free – being able to RECEIVE cash advances is NOT free. According to their app, you are required to sign up for Brigit Plus or Brigit Premium account to access the cash advance option. And, in case you are wondering, Brigit Plus is $8.99 a month and Premium is $14.99 a month.  If that wasn’t annoying enough, if you decide to upgrade your account to get the advance and you need it today the most expensive premium account option is the only one that gives you the express instant deposit on your advance funds.

The other real problem with the cash advance app is that it is a bit stingy about how much money it is willing to give you. It is pretty rare for Brigit to offer more than $50 as an advance. While the app is a bit more flexible on its repayment schedule than other apps, (it allows you to ask for extensions), you are paying $9 or $15 a month to get a $50 advance on your paycheck. This makes the app more of a headache than it is worth.

The Verdict: Mommy does not recommend the Brigit Payday Advance App
