Benjamin is a cashback app with many payment options once you hit that $25 withdrawal minimum. To date, Mommy Needs Advice has successfully made and received $62 from the app as two payouts. To properly test the app, we even requested both withdrawals in different forms to test the waters. Presently, the app has three different payment options. What are they and which one do we recommend? Keep reading for the scoop.
Payment Option One: Gift Card
The first and easiest way to cash out with the Benjamin app is gift cards. Once you hit the $25 minimum, you can tell the app you want to withdraw. You’ll be presented with three different choices. Select gift cards. Then, you will be brought to a page with all the available gift cards.
The app does use a third party to supply the gift card. Interestingly, you actually get a very small boost on your earnings if you go the gift card route. (I’m pretty sure it was 20 percent of the total cash out). The big downside is you can’t see the gift cards available until you reach the minimum cash out. I will say they have all the standard major gift card options you would expect.
Note: To use the instant cash or bank to bank transfer, you have to be willing to verify your identity. If you’ve already linked your debit card to Benjamin to receive the cashback rewards this is a super simple process. I have read some reviews that some people do have trouble getting the verification to go through. My verification went through instantly and I didn’t have to provide much information at all.

Payment Option Two: Instant Cash
Benjamin uses a Real Net payment network to issue the instant cash-out options. Using this option does require your bank to be part of the network they utilize. There, however, are 100s of banks within the network. When you select this option and input your info, it’ll tell you whether you can use this option.
Keep in mind, that they do charge $0.99 to use this option. It, however, is instant. Do NOT use this option on the weekend. I assume it would get stuck in limbo and you really would wait a day or two for the cash out. But, when you do it during the week you get it almost instantly.
Payment Option Three: Bank-To-Bank Transfer
The bank-to-bank transfer is free. It, however, is slower than the instant transfer. The app says it could take up to a week to receive your payment this way.

Benjamin App Payment Proof
On March 24, 2024, Mommy Needs Advice received a gift card payment from Benjamin. It was a Walmart gift card for $32.76.
Note: Benjamin does use a third party to issue gift cards. It says that it takes 6-7 business days to receive the gift card. I ended up waiting two weeks before reaching out to customer service. They fixed the issue and the gift card was received within hours of me complaining about not getting it. I haven’t tried the gift card cash out a second time because the wait time really isn’t worth it when I compare it to the other options. But, just keep this in mind if you go this option.
On June 10th, 2024, Mommy Needs Advice cashed out $29.37 via their direct deposit option. They charge a fee of $0.99 to request the instant payment option. Furthermore, it does say it can still take 1-2 business days to receive the payment. I, however, received it within minutes of cashing it out.
Which One Does Mommy Like?
Mommy Needs Advice prefers the instant payment option. Yes, even with the $0.99 fee. There is just something about instantly getting the money you’ve earned from your phone that is so satisfying.
