Note: As of 2025, Caden completely overhauled their system. Please be careful using this side hustle. Check out our new review on everything the developer changed.
When you use money-making apps like JustPlay, Eureka, Benjamin, and Branded to make a little extra cash, it is only a matter of time before you run into an advertisement for an app called Caden. The advertisement will brag about an effort-free way to earn a little extra cash. Honestly, the concept of Caden does sound too good to be true. So, it makes sense that you would want to know if the app is a legit and safe way to earn cash or a scam. Will you get your Caden payment?
Mommy Needs Advice downloaded the Caden app several months ago to find out what the hype was about. Is it legit? Is it a scam? Did we receive a payment from this app? Keep reading and we will share all the details of our review on this money-making app.
Review: What Exactly Is Caden?
First of all, Caden is an app exclusively for Apple users. Unfortunately, this isn’t going to be a way those with any other operating systems to make a little cash at this point. If you have an Apple device, however, keep reading.

Caden App Legit Or Scam
Caden introduces itself by pointing out that nearly every app on your phone and website you visit collects your data. They collect your data and then sell it to the highest bidder. Caden proposes getting on on the fact that your data is worth money. The idea is that your data is going to get out there anyway. So, why shouldn’t you profit from it? The app allows you to connect a handful of different accounts including your bank account, Uber, and Netflix.
You earn points every day that you have the app connected to various accounts. The more accounts you connect, the more daily points you receive. You also get bonus points when you connect new accounts.
Set It Up And Forget About It
Here’s the thing, I downloaded this app to my phone three months ago. I connected my accounts and then I completely forgot about it. I think I actually forgot to update it once and had to reinstall it. That being said, the app continued to accumulate points every single day without fail. I ended up earning 399 points a day because of the accounts I had connected.

Caden App Legit Or Scam
Unfortunately, this does mean it takes about three months to reach the pay out. That being said, I earn every three months with this app just sitting in the background on my phone. It isn’t a waste of time if you aren’t spending any of your time or energy on it. (Update: As of 2025 they cut their pay by 90 percent. You can still earn every three months but you are only going to get $4.50 they are NO longer paying you the $45…)
Is Caden Safe & Legit Or A Scam?
The real big issue with Caden is that $40 minimum. (It’s $4.50 now but the rate is still 45,000) Who wants to download an app and give it access to your accounts for three months while you wait to find out if it is legit or not? Fortunately, Mommy Needs Advice did it for you. We downloaded the app back in April and on July 1st we finally had enough money to cash out. On July 1st, we cashed out a little over $40.
I did have a little trouble setting up the direct deposit option. I kept trying to connect the bank account but it would not pop anything else up to let me move forward. So, I ended up just linking it to my debit card and received a payment that way. The app does offer Paypal as a payment option too.
After requesting my payment, it took exactly 48 hours for it to hit my account. On July 3rd, I got a text message saying my money was on the way. To my surprise, it was already in my bank account.

Furthermore, Caden didn’t hit me with any fees for sending me my payment this way. Typically with apps like this, they always charge some kind of withdrawal fee. I got every penny that I requested in just 48 hours.
The app does specify 48 business hours. I would suggest only cashing out on Monday or Tuesday if you want to get your payment the same week request it. Requesting it closer to the weekend may cause a delay pushing your payment to next week.
(Update: Caden cut their pay rates and now the conversion is $4.50 for 45,000 points instead of $45)
When Will We Cash Out Again?
We cashed out on July 1st and received our payment on July 3rd. On July 2nd, we started earning our 399 points again. While it didn’t really explain it, it did look like the app gave me a bonus 1,000 points for cashing out. Presently, I have 1,597 points in my account. This means I am looking at about 97 days before I’ll be able to cash out with this app.
Realistically, this means you are only going to cash out with Caden 2-3 times a year depending on how many accounts you link and how many points you get every day. This, however, is an extra $40-$120 a year you can grab for an app running in the background on your phone. (UPDATE: THIS IS NO LONGER TRUE. YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT $13.50 A YEAR TO GIVE THEM ACCESS TO ALL YOUR DATA WHICH IS INSULTING).

Caden App Legit Or Scam
Does Mommy Approve?
Mommy 100 percent approves of this app. Consider this a little unexpected extra money you are going to come into every 90-100 days. I know $40 isn’t very much money, but sometimes that $40 can make all the difference in the world when you are struggling to make ends meet.
⚠️ Important Update (2025): This used to be one of my top recommended passive income apps. But after their latest overhaul, I no longer recommend Caden. Here’s what changed, why it matters, and what you should do instead.
